1. Structure

The first need is to make a plan. Decide where you want to work and how you can get there. Write your personal goal or business plan in a diary. Develop an outlook that suits the field you want to enter. If you cannot achieve what you set out to, change your attitude and keep trying to reach your goal.

2. Ability

We sometimes fall into the illusion that we can do this as well as that: that we could become a painter and a singer too. But thinking about both careers, we cannot work out which field we should really choose and which way to go. In such a situation, do consult a counsellor. Once you make up your mind to enter a particular field you can certainly achieve it, but it takes hard work.

So when you plan for a new field, be sure to work out how capable you are for it and how much you will enjoy it. If you are a chef and love learning French, you will surely want to go to France to learn French cuisine. Every field has obstacles at the entry point, and these depend on training, education and qualifications. So prepare fully before entering any field, and develop your abilities.

3. Courage

This is the most important. Sometimes you need to take risks. You may have to change direction and do old things in new ways. This may be difficult, but if you believe in your new direction you can do better in it. In times of difficulty, self-belief and courage are essential. It takes courage to face the truth, and courage to accept your weaknesses. When you are wrong, find the courage to admit it. That way you will move in the right direction.

4. Communication

Everyone knows that professional and personal relationships weaken for lack of communication. Always remember that communication is the biggest weapon for success. Keep up conversations with friends and colleagues so you know what is happening in the market and which organisations need people like you. Communication is how you will learn about new opportunities.

5. Charm

Whether or not you accept it, charm is an important qualification for success. According to grooming expert Priya Warrick of the Priya Warrick Finishing Academy, charm costs you nothing, yet a lovely smile is sure to draw the other person's attention to you. Everyone likes a smiling, cheerful face, but your smile must reflect honesty and confidence. A fake smile is easy to spot and attracts no one. Your personality should be attractive, so smile from the heart and stay happy, so that others feel good when they see you.

6. Self-confidence

Self-confidence comes from many things. It grows when you know yourself and set your goals. If you trust yourself, success is possible. Build your abilities and work with dedication and effort, and your confidence will grow on its own. Understand the value of time if you want to succeed. Choose every task in life thoughtfully, according to your strength and ability, and do not rest until it is done. Recognise your own talent.
