Bhopal. On Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday, Madhya Pradesh saw a wide campaign of service, public participation and resolve. Greeting the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav highlighted his nearly 25 years of public life and his contribution to leading the country. The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Modi has given India's talent, capability and strength a new identity on the world stage.

Dr Yadav said that, rising from the party organisation to become Chief Minister and then Prime Minister, Modi has shaped the direction of politics and governance. According to him, India today is in a position to put forward its interests and its point of view more strongly on the global stage. The Chief Minister stressed that the Prime Minister's birthday should be not just an occasion for good wishes but should be linked with service and public participation.

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in Madhya Pradesh

On the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday, the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Resolve Campaign) was launched in Madhya Pradesh. Along with various welfare and social activities, a mass lamp-lighting programme was held. Around 3.55 crore lamps were lit simultaneously across the state, 33.27 lakh of them in Ujjain alone. The banks of the Shipra river and the Mahakal Lok glowed with diyas.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and BJP national president Nitin Nabin attended the programme in Ujjain. The lamp-lighting was organised as the ‘Ashirwad ka Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings) programme linked to Prime Minister Modi's birthday.

A step towards property rights for 5 million rural families

It was also announced on the birthday that the process had begun to extend benefits under the SVAMITVA scheme to more than 50 lakh (5 million) rural families and leaseholders in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr Yadav called it an important step towards giving rural families property rights and the economic opportunities that come with them.

25 years of public life

Prime Minister Modi's 76th birthday also coincides with the milestone of 25 years of public life. On 7 October 2026 he will complete 25 years as an elected representative. In this context, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav traced Modi's political and administrative journey, saying that his path from the party organisation to Chief Minister and Prime Minister is an important chapter in Indian politics.

Madhya Pradesh's political and organisational bond with Modi

The Madhya Pradesh BJP organisation celebrated the Prime Minister's birthday through service activities and public participation. Programmes were held in Indore in the presence of BJP national president Nitin Nabin and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, while a large lamp-lighting event took place in Ujjain. Thus, on the Prime Minister's birthday, separate activities were visible at both levels in Madhya Pradesh — party and government. Modi@76 was significant for Madhya Pradesh also because Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav linked it with the Prime Minister's leadership and the country's changing global role, while making it an occasion for programmes tied to service, public participation and rural welfare. Ujjain's Deepotsav was the biggest public attraction of the celebrations.

PM Modi has not taken a single day off in the last 25 years

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that in the 12 years of his tenure, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done all the work that one associates with Ram Rajya. Through continuous hard work he has succeeded in taking the country forward. The Prime Minister has not cared even for his own rest and has not taken a single day's leave in 25 years. We have a Prime Minister whose gifts to the nation will be remembered for a long time. He is doing the noble work of providing houses for the poor to live in and free food grains for their sustenance.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that today we celebrated the Prime Minister's birthday, and we hope today's Deepotsav removes darkness from everyone's life. The Sanatan principle of ‘live and let live’ for the sake of humanity has grown stronger during the Prime Minister's tenure, and India is writing a golden chapter in its history.
