About us

Our story

Stri Vimarsh began in Bhopal in 2014 with a simple idea: women's stories, told in women's language and from women's point of view. The magazine is registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India under RNI No. MPHIN/2014/66658.

Over more than twelve years it has found readers from the villages and small towns of Madhya Pradesh to the big metros. Every issue brings exclusive interviews, inspiring stories of women's achievement, health and beauty advice, writing on relationships and family, explainers on government schemes and news from the state.

In 2026 the magazine is in its thirteenth year. This website is its digital home: the stories from each printed issue can be read on the web, and every issue can be leafed through page by page.

Our mission

We believe a woman needs equal opportunity, not support. Our journalism puts the spotlight on women who are moving their families, villages and communities forward, and on the information that helps every woman make everyday decisions.

• Record women's achievements and struggles with dignity
• Explain health, nutrition, law and government schemes in simple, reliable language
• Offer sensitive, practical advice on family and relationships
• Celebrate art, culture and folk traditions
